Meet Our Owner – Barbara
Barbara is the backbone and business mind of this long running and successful salon. Having run a number of businesses throughout her career, Barbara’s flair, passion, enthusiasm and hard work ensures that Chique runs in a manner that we are all proud to be a part of. Barbara now leaves the practical side of the business to her daughter Debbie, and together they work seamlessly to create a great salon experience offering outstanding hair & beauty treatments to their clients.
Meet Our Manager – Debbie
Debbie is the manager here at Chique and has been a professional hair technician for over 35 years. Having started her career at Zeffedees in Southampton; which was an extremely fashionable salon in the heart of the city; Debbie decided to take the plunge and start her own business – “Chique”.
Chique is a family run business, and it is thanks to the close-knit relationships, client trust and renowned reputation that Debbie has worked hard to achieve over the past 30 years, that makes this salon the success it is today.
Our staff are always friendly but professional. Over the years we have continued to invest in training and personal development, to enable us to keep up with changing trends in the market and deliver outstanding customer care. We love having junior members of the staff at Chique, as we not only get to see their progress as they work their way up through the ranks, but they provide a youthful insight into salon life.
In recent times, Debbie has decided to take more of a back seat devoting her time to teaching junior technicians and the management of the salon.
Kathryn – Senior Hair Technician
With her abundance of colouring experience which plays a major part of our training programme within the salon.
Colouring is something Kathryn is passionate about and will always put her all in to achieve your desired look.
Hayley - Senior Hair Technician
Hayley is also one of our senior hair technicians and has been part of the Chique family for 11 years.
A confident and attentive team member, Hayley prides herself on being a perfectionist. She is a fantastic all-round hair stylist but her true passion lies with shorter hair.
We recommend Hayley is you are looking for a complete restyle or a cut with more definition.
Larraine – Holistic Beauty Therapist
Larraine is one of our beauty therapists here at Chique and has over 15 years salon experience, having been part of our team for the past 9. She is fully qualified in holistic and beauty therapies having trained in massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, Thai herbal compress massage and Ayurveda facial massage, as well as a wide range of beauty treatments. Larraine always goes out of her way to use products she believes in, ensuring they are 100% cruelty free and vegan wherever possible.
Larraine is a well-established, confident member of our team and is passionate about her job and the treatments she provides, aiming to pamper and beautify your so that you leave the salon feeling fabulous.
Sara – Nail Technician, Beauty Therapist and Microblading Specialist
Sara is our nail technician and beauty therapist and has been with us at Chique for the past 8 years. Sara has a wealth of experience and knowledge within the beauty industry, having worked in high end hotels and spas and having trained with the best in the business.
Sara’s passion lies in working with the natural nail, using Jessica and Artistic gels polishes. She is also our microblading specialist – making small hair strokes to the brow area to create the illusion of a fuller brow. Sara loves providing the perfect treatment for her clients and is a beauty therapist you can trust.
Elise – Hair Technician
Elise who joined our team in 2016 is a beautiful hair technician, who has years of colouring experience and great technical cutting skills.
Elise is a major asset to the team, hardworking and of beautiful nature, and will always give her 100%.
Abbie – Hair Technician
Abbie is our youngest enthusiastic hair stylist, who prides herself on the ability and love of all colouring technicians. Joining the team in 2017 she plays a great part in the salon (keeping us all young at heart). A great all round hairdresser who will exceed your expectations.
Ellen – Junior Hair Technician
Ellen our newest member of the team joined us in the winter of 2021. Ellen is a valuable member here at Chique. She has an amazing passion for the business, and is striving to become one of our excellent hair technicians. Caring, compassionate, and willing to please, she has a great flow for all aspects of hair.
